Nepal / Pokhara day 2 – Rain outside but sunshine within

There’s something about rain… puts a stupid smile on my face and makes me feel like a teenager in love. Nice to wake up to the sound of it crashing down! Daylight has revealed my mountain view.

The day has also revealed two human-angels who gave me a lot to think about. I wish time had a ‘pause’ button… These are Ian and Janet from Utah.

At the starting line. I won!

Always wanted to catch a gay pride parade. Introducing the third gender festival in Pokhara!

My yoga guru Narayan at the Annapurna Yoga Ashram. ‘No mention, no tension,’ he says.  He used to own a restaurant but gave it up as he felt guilty for selling meat and alcohol. Kind, gentle soul. He is a little over 50 years old and living proof that yoga can stop your body’s aging process in your 20’s! Mashalla 🙂

Comment of the day: “They were *boys* when they checked in!” (hotel owner next door about the third-gender clients he had staying with him).
