Nepal / Pokhara day 4 – Time to go back and hit the sand

Now the clouds have lifted and I see the real mountains from my room. Have to head back to Kathmandu today and fly back to Dubai. Haven’t had enough of this place yet…

A cuddle is  cuddle!

Such funky art behind these trucks. I only managed to catch a few. This is Shiva the goddess. On the way with Bharat the driver who is giving me interesting details on Nepalese life. Seems there are many laws that make it allowable for men to take more than one wife then seems everyone lives together happily ever after. Not my idea of  fairy-tale ending… To each his own…

Kathmandu – craziest traffic ever!
Air Arabia – they use children for their in-flight videos – so cute!!!

On happiness:

‘One begins by identifying those factors which lead to happiness and those factors which lead to suffering. One then sets about gradually eliminating those factors which lead to suffering and cultivating those which lead to happiness,’ says the Dalai Lama on happiness. Sounds simple… But what if what makes you happy and suffer is the same thing?? That’s when you bring out your scales and see which one outweighs the other and choose. Strongly recommend a trip to Nepal straight after to press your emotional ‘reset’ button 😉 I have actually put aside ’50 Shades of Grey’ to read this. It’s all about priorities 🙂

Conclusion: Being a closet-loner, I see that a solo holiday and I definitely make a good couple. And a holiday is always my cure-for-all remedy and has not let me down this time either. Life is good 🙂
