We are meeting Philip for lunch then heading out to pick up Tanja. First stop is the market in Stockholm, Saluhallen. It is a like an all-encompassing deli where you can buy meat, cheese, fruits, deserts to take home and cook or you can eat there. Nice way to experience the local culture. We will pick up some traditional Swedish nibbles and eat at Philip’s new place.

We are delighted! Tanja has finally arrived. She is very close to both mine and Jeffrey’s heart and it is great that she drops by for a few days getting away from Germany. She took her delightful company away from us a few years ago leaving us weepy like kids, sadly waving goodbye. You can stretch it as far as you like between as many continents as you wish, good friendships will never snap.
We move to First Hotel Riesen where we can all fit comfortably.
It’s nicer on the outside.
It’s nicer on the inside too.
We are hungry and thirsty.
Jeffrey has a nice trick up his sleeve and it is called Strandbryggan Sea Club.
It is a floating restaurant / bar.
It is hip, cool and trendy.
I cheat on my inner-hippie and shamelessly love it!
There is a bar area as well as a restaurant area – you can see it behind the boat, it is a long stretch on the water.
We skip and hop along the bars of Stockholm.
Observations:
Swedish women are gorgeous.
Swedish men do not approach women.
It is a very strangely topsy-turvy world and it is the women that seem to have to do the hunting.
All men elsewhere should move to Sweden.
All women in Sweden should move to Dubai.
Period.
