My lovely Lulu.
She really is one of a kind – she is incredibly smart, incredibly funny, incredibly caring and incredibly crazy.
Her craziness is quite contagious and fun always follows wherever she is – you know how crazy people always attract crazy situations.
She is a domesticated type of crazy since she has become a mother not once but twice!
She is from many places, one of them being San Diego.
I’m here to visit her again.
It’s a short visit so we decide we will eat, play (with animals) and love (mother nature).
San Diego is quite quaint and pretty pretty.
We have a wander around in the San Diego Bay.
Everyone’s big into big kites.
Saw only a few of the birdies. Wouldn’t have minded a little baby sea-lion. Or a unicorn. Or a baby unicorn (in case the magical universe is really listening)!!
We stroll to Seaport Village. This really is the recommended mode of transport by yours truly – it’s a pretty city and a pretty walk ensues.
We are hungry so we make a little pit-stop somewhere Yelp says is pretty good.
I would recommend the restaurant but it was pretty good, just like many of the other random restaurants recommended by Yelp in the States. Them Americans know how to make food taste good.
Tip for tasty food
I do recommend though, in order to make food taste better anywhere, to ensure you like the company you keep.
This makes you relaxed.
This makes your tummy relaxed.
Your soul relaxed.
And everything feels and tastes better.
None of that tummy-constricting feeling you get when you are around some people where your whole being clenches in self-defense.
Meet Lulu’s sister Nadia. She is a delightful little bonus addition to my lovely Lulu. She is really like a Disney princess, a real one: soft and kind and very sweet with the voice of an angel. Needless to say, the food tasted heavenly <3
Seaport Village
We’re hereee at Seaport Village!
Cutesy place with cutesy things in it like:
This carousel born in 1895 in Texas (pre-made-in-China era. Yep, it existed!).
Places that your sweet tooth will love!
Sweet poison yummmmm!!
There are also things that are definitely neither cute nor sweet…
In case you want to eat Dave’s burning nuts…
So basically they like their hot sauces there, some of which come in their own little coffin shaped boxes just to emphasize the point. Might want to put the toilet paper in the fridge the night before you eat any of that if you are a guy (us women don’t have such functions so we are okay).
Seaport Village turned out to be a pleasant family outing. Lots of restaurants and souvenir shops plus it is right on the water.
How can anything be bad if it has any body of water next to it??
Even rain puddles – excellent to jump into, splashing water everywhere.
Seaport Village Tip: The restaurants are reasonably priced plus they validate your parking ticket when you eat there and you don’t have to pay. So eat! With good company 🙂
