Think of him as a little baby = cute.
Small and teeny tiny = cute (no matter what).
One of the reasons why I love this restaurant. It is teeny tiny, quirky and super cute.
It is seriously well hidden. Makes you think of an eccentric artist that makes the most jaw-dropping paintings only to keep them hidden in his attic.
It is a wonder that anyone actually found this place to begin with.
I think the owner watched with a bemused expression as it was whispered from ear to ear and the word spread like wildfire that there was a funky Thai restaurant hidden somewhere in the back alleys of Jumeirah that served an awesome meal for an equally awesome price.
Here is how you get there: Get on the Al Wasl Road and drive heading towards Dubai. When you see Emirates Post turn right just before it. First right again until you see this nondescript cluster of shops on your left.
The Burj reminds me of myself: always trying to sneak into every photo 😉
You can look but you will not see it until you take a walk around the right side.
Only a few steps between us and yummy Thai food (or ‘thigh food’ as my sister from another mother Anita would say as ‘it goes straight to the thighs’)!
One step inside and *BING* you are in a completely different world.
Menu cover – Mona Lisa on steroids – love!
Open up and… tsk, tsk!
Takes me even longer to decide what to eat whenever I am here as the avid reader in me kicks in, closely followed by the giggles!
The prices give you something else to smile about.
Once you are ready to order you shake these bells and the waitress arrives.
Jeffrey the bestie checking out the t-shirts on sale. He was momentarily tempted to put his designer tastes aside and actually buy one. Momentarily…
Yummmmmm!
Look it’s bill!
As in *the* bill 🙂 Super reasonable prices with generous portions.
This is one of the rare places in Dubai that is original and different than the rest. LOVE that!
Goodbye piggy! See you next time 🙂
