Uno is my little nephew. Just because I am biased doesn’t mean he isn’t an absolute mini-hunk! He turns 5 and we celebrate.
Uno’s yummy mummy Nice and papa (aka my kid brother Efe. I think I will call him that even when we’re 60!)
My elder sister Burcu – born on the same day as Hitler – which was great when the kids at school decided to bully me but not so cool if I was being naughty, especially as I could never out-run her! We have since grown up. We now call her Google as u can ask her anything and she will tell you the (correct) answer.
My brother in law and male version of my Google sister – Baran. His Kurdish background makes their kids Kurdish, Turkish, Circassian, Tatar, Albanian and Greek! We love our ethnic minorities in Turkey. Here he is playing with one of Uno’s friends.
Berkin, my nephew, Google Jr. I had forbid him growing any taller than me but he just doesn’t listen. I now literally have to look up to him. Here he shuts his smart mouth which is a shame cause he really does have a great sense of humor (when he isn’t being a smartass, ha!).
Boran – my other nephew. An ABSOLUTE wild child! He loves sharks and I can’t wait for him to become a big boy so we can go diving together.
Nice + Efe = Filipino, Turkish, Circassian, Tatar, Albanian and Greek kids. Yep – gorgeous!
Mom – we are the same person but somehow ended up in 2 different bodies, one generation apart. Absolute soulmate, constant sunshine & divine blessing. She is the Circassian & Greek part of the equation.
Dad – my superman! Nobody has ever managed to outshine him and nobody will! We are with his buddy Jack here – he usually likes Johnny better but he’s being flexible. His roots are Albanian & Tatar.
She thinks his name-tag is hilarious. Mind you, she thinks *everything* is hilarious! They celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary shortly after this party 🙂
Clearly Uno takes after his grandpa 😉 Is it cruel that the crying kid makes me laugh?
Lovely little angels… Wanted to take them home but was explained that they aren’t cats and it doesn’t work that way…
