I have been wanting to snap out of everyday life as we know it since last year, looking for the next place to lay my hat and try a different approach to life.
I had no idea how I would incorporate this with work and the system as we know it.
Sometimes blessings come in strange disguises.
Changing laws brought about cutbacks and I was liberated from the system. Problem solved. It was hard to surpress my smile during the announcement.
My best friend Samira had once said ‘Binky, no matter *what* happens to you, your body just refuses to be sad’.
Counting my blessings.
After years and years of working like a happy donkey, I have the luxury of doing exactly what I want to do and all of my time is mine. I pick my favorite things and people and I put them into my day.
Funny to note that I have been busier now than ever!!
I have been:
Staying in bed and enjoying extended wake-up kitty-cat snuggles without having to rush to work.
Having time for breakfast catch-ups with friends.
Helping my mom put together her book. I am getting paid in Turkish coffee, fresh brewed Turkish tea, kisses & cuddles. Totally worth all the hours. Catch her here for updates as it will be in print soon 🙂
Doing yoga in Safa Park with Urban Yoga. AMAZING way to start your day, what a difference it makes. This is Kimberley our yoga teacher. They have moved indoors for the summer but you can follow them here.
