Day trip to Saro – walking in the park and horse whispering

We are almost at the end of our stay here in Gothenburg.
Jeffrey usually has nice things to say about many people (he actually has nice words for a lot of things being the sweetie-pie that he is) but he speaks about Cecilia and Joakim with a very different type of affection. I must accept that Jeffrey has other soul relatives too. Fine!
Jokes aside, I am very much looking forward to meeting them.
The drive to Saro takes only about 20 minutes and is very manicured and tame – much like the rest of Sweden – especially its people.
I didn’t know these folks existed outside of fairy tales! This is quite surreal as they look like they should be on the cover of Home & Family magazine and act like they should be in a romantic comedy. It is very heart warming to be around happy couples, couples who have made it through, good old fashioned way, just like our parents. Absolutely adore them from the get-go!
Boing! Boing! Boooiiinnnggg!!! My first time and I LOVE it!
Beautiful mama + gorgeous papa = gorgeous little angels

They have pets. Not the type that you can drop off at your mom’s house before heading off on holiday.

Meet Dance in the Dark. An essential part of his beauty routine is sunblock on his little pink nose as this cutie gets sunburnt. True story!

Meet Lamborghini the stallion. He apparently is not the friendliest of horses and Cecilia says it is not often he allows people to pet him. I am *very* flattered.

Hike time!

Joakim & Cecilia: How the light shines down on them 🙂

Strange how I don’t get stung by centipedes, bitten by snakes etc. Jinx much?

We drop by the clubhouse for food before we split.

Teapigs?? Very strange name for a tea brand but MAN was it good! Notice the little purple lavender bits inside. Not sure if I should frame it or drink it. Love! Love so much I Googled them. Love their story and approach too. Check out Teapigs! And if you are in the UK – buy Teapigs!

Oh dio yum yum! What a nice way to say g’bye to Saro and the wonderful Cecilia and Joakim.

Lovely country. Only 1 ponytail now as one of my hairbands is wrapped around my shoe that decided to fall apart mid-hike. I get my McGvyer-like solutions from my mother.

We head back for our upcoming last day on this side of Sweden. Boo to the upcoming end of the whole holiday but yay to all the lovely memories.
