USA / Las Vegas – We eat all the way to the Bellagio

I start the day with a giggle – the apartment I am staying in has this on the water heater. They sure know how to get the message across!

Today we eat and eat and eat.

We are not in the main Strip but lingering around the Summerlin area, more residential, more off the beaten path, more up my alley.

Rachel’s Kitchen

We start out at Rachel’s Kitchen. There’s nothing really special about this place.

Except that it is super cosy.
Except that the food is DELISH.
And everything is served in those gigantic American portions.

This place is next to a yoga studio.
I see my fellow yoga lovers coming in for a post-yoga snack, all tall and long and slim and gorgeous.
They eat here.
They look like that.
If I eat here, will I also look like that?
I sit back and enjoy the yummy food feeling a little less guilty.

808 Tapas

Our lunch stop is 808 Tapas, East-West Fusion Sake Lounge. They have a mixture of Japanese, Hawaiian and Asian food.

A lot of the dishes look like rainbows and they also taste like them… if rainbows had a taste. YUM!

SO much catching up to do.
We eat, talk, eat, talk, eat, talk.

The stories are as fascinating and exotic as the food here.

Healthy Life Foot Spa

We do take a break in between to have a massage – tiring all this eating!

So, Robert knows this place, Healthy Life Foot Spa.
It gives the best massages and the prices are extremely reasonable.

Oh, and this is Robert. He has changed a lot since I last saw him and is even cuter than before!
The poster on the wall was not crooked but Rob was lopsided on the massage bed so I aligned him instead of the poster.  I did smirk when I thought of my OCD friends who will get stuck not this now. Hehehe 😉

Pamper pamper everywhere!

Bellagio

Dinner at the famous Bellagio! We take  stroll. I take a photo of the fountains.
It, of course, doesn’t get anywhere near as wonderful as the fabulous Dubai Fountain at the Burj Khalifa.
I don’t say because I am totally biased and completely in love with my UAE. This one really is a fact.

Well, not being the first person to take a photo of the aforementioned fountains, I decided to add some purple spice just to make it a little different.

Rebellious purple rain pouring right up.

I have no idea why we didn’t take any photos inside the cafe in the Bellagio where we ate. But we did take this one as we were queuing to get in. How pointless can a statement get?!

It’s an early night because we are GOING HIKING TOMORROW YAAAYYYYYY!!!
How lucky I am to have a ‘local’ guiding me.
G’ night folks.
